We put the "rough" in rough-in

This week started plumbing, electrical, and HVAC rough-in. Plumbing and HVAC are done but the electrical was, well, messy. Being on a slab the electrical for the island has to run through the slab which actually means a foot below the slab. More workers with a jack hammer carved out a place for our island electrical conduit. There are several other places where the previous owner took certain liberties when it came to wiring. It's nice to have an actual electrician in here to set things straight!

A lot of work happening but not much to capture with pictures. Here's our new kitchen/dining HVAC vent and around the room pictures once again.

The electrical work is going to carry through the week. There is a bracket on order that will tie together the structural beams. For now a couple temporary posts are still propping things up.
